On Tuesday, June 28th, 2016, the champion of acrobatic hang-glider Jon Gjerde, age 51, participated in the festival "Ekstremsportveko" to Voss, in Norway. During an air show, the Norwegian pilot was victim of a particularly spectacular accident which would have been able to cost his life. While he made a high-speed dive at the exit of a loop, his hang-glider broke, folding in two. Always attached to his aircraft, the man violently swirled in the sky during his fall, but with a lot of cold blood, he succeeded in spreading his emergency parachute before landing in a lake. Finally, Jon Gjerde was slightly hurt, suffering from bruises to the face with bloodshot eyes.
