Actibump is an automated speed bump which is only activated if the vehicle is going too fast. Operation is simple, an upstream radar calculates the speed of the vehicle. If there is an excess of speed, the throttle 60mm sinks into the ground. The driver will feel a jolt that will remind him that he is going too fast. If the vehicle is below the speed limit, the speed bump remains at the same level of the road and goes unnoticed. Actibump was invented by the Swedish company AB Edeva. This intelligent speed bump has already been installed in several cities in Sweden (Linköping, Uppsala, Malmö and the Öresund Bridge).
