The elephant Kham Lhasa, one of the youngest residents of the Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary and rescue center for elephants located in the district of Mae Taeng, Thailand, rushes into a river to save Darrick, a member of the shelter staff when the latter simulates a drowning hazard. Very quickly, the man is joined by the young pachyderm who hands him his trunk to allow him to remain on the surface. This action shows the affection that can have an elephant for a human when their relationship is based on love and respect.
