A choir sings in Aramaic for Pope Francis
Saturday, October 1 2016, Pope Francis was visiting the Svetitskhoveli Orthodox Cathedral in Mtskheta, Georgia. On this occasion, the father and Seraphim choir sang Psalm 53 in Aramaic. A magical and enchanting moment. The Aramaic languages form a branch of the Semitic language family. Some of these languages have disappeared, but others are still spoken in Turkey, Georgia, Palestine, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Israel.
